Alexandre Boccalari is Principal Oboe of the Opera Orchestra of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo. He furthered his studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music under the guidance of Hansjörg Schellenberger and Víctor Ánchel, and was a member of the International Institute of Chamber Music of Madrid. He later completed two Master’s degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Liège in Belgium: one focused on orchestral repertoire (2024) and another in oboe solo performance (2025), under the guidance of Sébastien Guedj.

He began his studies with Rodrigo Nagamori and graduated from the OSESP Academy under Arcádio Minczuk. He has participated in masterclasses with renowned oboists, including Klaus Thunemann, Thomas Indermühle, David Walter, Philippe Tondre, Isaac Duarte, and Alex Klein.

He was a member of the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra (2007–2008), served as Principal Oboe of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra (2011–2016), and was a member of the Theatro São Pedro Orchestra (2017–2022), in addition to performing in various programs with the OSESP.

In Europe, he regularly appears as guest oboist with the Liège Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Winner of the Eleazar de Carvalho Prize at the Campos do Jordão Festival, where he was also invited as a professor, he has taken part in festivals and institutions such as the Mallorca Oboe Festival and the Double Reed Festival in Ittervoort, the Netherlands (2022 and 2025).
