A Dream Come True: We’re Going on Tour!

The Reina Sofía School of Music celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2021, and one of its greatest dreams in these three decades has been to undertake a major European tour with its students. For the first time, this wish has come true, and we need your help to make it happen.

The Freixenet Symphony Orchestra, made up of 60 students from the School, together with its principal conductor, maestro Andrés Orozco-Estrada, and violinist Arabella Steinbacher, will take their passion to four of the most prestigious major European music centers. They will begin the tour with a concert at the Teatro Real in Madrid on October 7; travel to Bratislava to participate in its Festival on October 9; to Budapest to play at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music on the 10th; and end their journey at the famous Musikverein in Vienna, home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and its celebrated New Year’s Concert, on the 12th. During the tour, the students will collaborate with the Superar project, which assists children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through music.

To be able to develop this unique opportunity for our students, we ask for your collaboration with a donation of any amount you wish. All help is welcome.
