Tobias Willi, organ

“Variatio detectat”

Since January 2015, Tobias Willi is the main organist at the Johanneskirche in Zurich (Switzerland). As a concert organist, he is regularly invited for recitals all over Europe; participation in many famous organ festivals and recital series (Lucerne Festival, Toulouse-les-orgues, "Présences" in Paris, Feldkirch Festival, at Notre-Dame de Paris, at the Austrian Radio in Vienna, in Haifa and Jerusalem in 2012, at Monaco Cathedral in 2014, in the cathedrals of Bourges (F), Freiburg and Fulda, in the Dome of Riga in 2015, in the Mariinsky Concert Hall St. Petersburg in 2016 etc.).

The Sony Auditorium at the Reina Sofía School of Music has an organ built by the prestigious organ-builder Gerhard Grenzing. This series of organ concerts was created with the aim of giving voice to this unique instrument, which usually does not have many opportunities to be displayed to the public. Twice a year, prominent national and international artists star in the concerts, which span the entire history of music, encouraging a dynamic and harmonious dialogue between the organ and other instruments.

Tickets available in and the Front Desk of the Reina Sofía School, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 8pm.
