Encounter of Santander
The Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (CNDM), in its commitment to the promotion of young talent, celebrates the European Day of Music with an extraordinary concert by the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra of the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, conducted by Juanjo Mena and with the participation as soloist of the violist Noemí Fúnez. On this evening, the young orchestra will tackle three gems of the symphonic repertoire: the overture to The Master Singers of Nuremberg by Richard Wagner, the Concerto for Viola and Orchestra in D major by Franz A. Hoffmeister, and the Symphony No. 1 in D major by Gustav Mahler, in the Symphonic Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música.
This concert is part of the series celebrating the School's 30th anniversary, with the collaboration of Asisa.
