He was born in Málaga (Spain) in 2006. Since 2023, he has been studying at the Aline Foriel-Destezet Cello Chair at the Reina Sofía School of Music, with Professor Jens Peter Maintz. He holds scholarships from Grupo Planeta and the Albéniz Foundation and plays a Gary Garavaglia cello, loaned as an instrument scholarship by the Foundation.
He began his musical studies at the age of 8 with teachers such as S. Rui and Carmen Ma Elena, and since 2020, he has trained with Pavel Gomziakov at the Barenboim-Said Akademie. He has also attended masterclasses given by Maisky, Monighetti, Helmerson, Schmidt, Polo, Claret, Ferrández, Soltani, Isserlis, Moser, Queyras, Klinger, Zlotnikov, Arias, Severin, Konopelski, Stefanovic, and Rovner.
He has won first prize in the Jaime Donato Benavente, Cello León, Joaquín Villatoro and Luthiers Clar competitions; the 12th A. Janigro International Cello Competition; the Verao Clássico Academy Awards; the 3rd Gustav Mahler Cello Competition; Peregrinos Musicales (which led to him performing as a soloist with the Real Filharmonía de Galicia); and Intercentros Melómano. He also received joint third prize (ex aequo) and the special prize “Summer Camp, Música&Cultura” at the 1st Young Performers Competition “City of Estepona”. In 2024, he received first prize in the Higher Education category and the prize for best performance of contemporary music at Intercentros Melómano, as well as first prize at the 35th “MálagaCrea” Showcase for Young Performers.
He was awarded a scholarship by the Liechtenstein International Music Academy and took part in the Intensive Music Weeks and other activities offered by the Academy.
As a student of the School, he has performed with the Freixenet Orchestra (conducted by Sir András Schiff). In 2025, he also performed with the School’s Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Andrés Orozco-Estrada. He has also been a member of the Areti and Alma Mahler trios and of the Fundación Mutua Madrileña Ensemble. He is currently a member of the Banco de España Arriaga Quartet and the Bain Satie Trio.
