He was born in Portugal in 2003. Since 2022, he has been a student at the Reina Sofía School of Music, in the BBVA Foundation Viola Chair, first with Professor Nobuko Imai and currently with Professor Lawrence Power. He holds scholarships from the EDP Foundation and the Albéniz Foundation.
After beginning his musical studies on the violin at the Artística Music School of the Lisbon National Conservatory, at the age of 15 he decided to switch to the viola, under the mentorship of Professor Samuel Barsegian. He later continued his training at the Metropolitan Professional School.
He has taken part in masterclasses given by professors such as Aida Carmen-Soanea, Alexander Zemtsov, Anna-Kreetta Gribajcevic, Diemut Poppen, Marc Sabbah, Máté Szücs, Nobuko Imai, Garth Knox, Paul Wakabayashi, Timothy Ridout and Heinz Holliger (chamber music). He was also selected to perform in the final concert with orchestra at the Mendelssohn Summer School Competition 2021. In 2023, he received first prizes in both the 12th Concurso de Corda Cidade de Vigo and the 3rd International Artists Competition in Vienna.
During his training, he has played in several school orchestras, including the National Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and the Metropolitan Classical Orchestra. In 2020, he was accepted into the Portuguese Youth Orchestra, became a member of the European Federation of National Youth Orchestras, and was invited to perform with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra.
As a student at the School, he has performed with the Freixenet Orchestra (conducted by Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Juanjo Mena, Péter Csaba, Sir András Schiff, Nicolás Pasquet and Pablo González), with the EDP Foundation Camerata (conducted by Christoph Poppen and Giovanni Guzzo), with the Sinfonietta (conducted by Zsolt Nagy), and with the School’s Baroque Ensemble (conducted by Paul Goodwin). Likewise, in 2025 he performed with the School Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Andrés Orozco-Estrada. He has also been a member of the Kegelstaat Trio, the Turina Quartet and the Lili Boulanger Quintet. He is currently a member of the Granados Quintet of Qualitas Energy.
