Madrid, June 28, 2023.- Paloma O’Shea, President of the Reina Sofía School of Music, and José María de Areilza, Secretary General of Aspen Institute España, have signed a collaboration agreement between both entities, through which the Aspen community will participate in School events, while members of the School will take part in Aspen Institute España seminars thanks to the creation of the Aspen-Reina Sofía scholarships.
Aspen Institute España seeks with this agreement to enhance its impact in the social, cultural, and educational fields and, with it, to reinforce and contribute to the development of a culture of dialogue and the creation of a community of people willing to promote debate and reflection in society. For Aspen Institute España, since its origins, music has been an essential element for the promotion of enlightened leadership, since the musician Arthur Rubinstein was one of the founders of this institution, established in Colorado, United States, in 1949.
For the Reina Sofía School, this agreement is part of its proactive policy of creating alliances with relevant and prestigious organizations and institutions that help it develop and extend its mission of training young musicians and bringing music closer to society.
