SCHUBERT, Franz
Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major D 485
I. Allegro
Andrés Orozco-Estrada, professor
Juan Ignacio Beracochea Noé, student
Freixenet Chamber Orchestra of the Reina Sofía School of Music
First, at the indication of Professor Orozco-Estrada, they perform the following movement under the direction of the student. Here the professor asks him to review the ending and asks if there is anything important he heard that he would like to correct or change. The conductor asks to review again the articulation of violins II and violas at the beginning, the harmony of the development, and the articulation at a certain point that should be more in a middle ground between staccato and legato.
Afterward, the professor asks them to return to the end to review the phrasing of that part, as well as the dynamics, and advises the conductor to show the orchestra more clearly what he wants to achieve but without anticipating too much, going along with them.
