Course
2016-17

BARTÓK, Béla

44 Duos for Two Violins Sz 98 BB 104 (version for two violas)

30. Újévköszöntő (New Year’s Greeting) (3)

Antoine Tamestit, guest professor

Guillermo Gil García, student

Samuel David Palomino Kingjler, student

Professor Tamestit comments that if the students make the same gestures, accents, and articulations, they will be together in bowings, in dynamics, in rhythm… they will be together, in short.
In addition, they change some bows to make sforzando clearer, and the professor also indicates that the rhythm cannot fluctuate too much because it is a canon. Tamestit insists that they also have to be together in tempo; breathing together will help them. Afterwards, he recommends that they control the starting point of the accelerando.
