The concept of afterwork (after work) has been incorporated into social customs in recent years, as a leisure break designed for colleagues to share a moment of relaxation and fun after the workday. Transferred to the musical sphere, it is conceived as a more relaxed format, which offers the public a flexible program in which classical music dialogues with other genres, such as jazz or flamenco, in an environment conducive to sharing experiences.
This concert, co-organized by the Reina Sofía School of Music and Berklee College of Music – Valencia, two internationally renowned institutions, combines the best of their academic and musical offerings. Featuring students from diverse backgrounds, the concert celebrates the cultural and musical diversity of their places of origin, where north and south, east and west meet, and where classical and modern musical traditions intertwine.
