Concert “Tribute to Czech Music,” part of the Year of Czech Music 2024 (Rok české hudby 2024) project, organized by the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in collaboration with the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Czech Centre in Madrid. This event commemorates two important anniversaries: the bicentenary of Bedřich Smetana’s birth and the 150th anniversary of Josef Suk, offering an exceptional opportunity to pay tribute to the great Czech composers, such as Smetana, Dvořák, Janáček, Suk, and Martinů, and highlighting the rich musical tradition of the Czech Republic and its relevance on the world stage.
