With the dual purpose of providing its students with experience in this field and enriching its musical offering to society, the Reina Sofía School of Music has created several orchestral ensembles that are composed of its students and directed by professors from the School as well as guest conductors.
The Freixenet Symphony Orchestra premiered in 2008 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
