He explains that she must take into account the rules for competitions or auditions with this concerto. The first rule concerns dynamics: always begin piano, then mezzo-forte, and then forte. Since it is repeated three times, it must always be articulated this way each time. It is also important regarding articulation to emphasize the notes D, F, A, D.
For Caussé, a certain passage seems more consistent when played on two strings rather than on three, as the student does. Finally, he offers a small piece of advice about not lowering the viola too much, but rather keeping it higher to create resistance when pressing with the bow.
