One of the main values of the Reina Sofía School of Music is to have a top-tier faculty in each specialty. The School also has an exceptional legacy of great musicians trained in its classrooms.
The Maestros Series offers the public the opportunity to enjoy live performances by professors who daily share their talent and experience with our young musicians, as well as by the School’s great artist alumni, who are now established international figures.
Cellist Jens Peter Maintz (tenured professor of the Aline Foriel-Destezet Cello Chair) and pianist Eldar Nebolsin (winner of the Santander International Piano Competition and former student of the School) perform the complete set of 5 Sonatas that Ludwig van Beethoven composed for cello and piano between 1796 and 1815.
