The Maestro worked with the orchestra, choir, and soloists on different aspects of the performance, paying close attention to the dynamics and certain melodies that need to be breathed. The entrances must be clear: the baritone’s entrance should not be rushed, taking his time. When the choir enters, the orchestra should lower the volume and always be mindful not to delay the soloists. In summary, in this rehearsal, López Cobos works on the sound masses and the balance interplay so that the result is a balanced whole.
