Professor Blacher congratulates the student after her performance, but asks her for more Spanish character. Regarding technical issues, they work on staccato bow strokes with slower bow movements in order to control it more, and playing with more contact with the string. They slowly work on the following passage to improve phrasing, color and vibrato, sound quality…
Kolja Blacher continues to make indications on dynamics, accents, metric freedom, or bow distribution among other musical questions. To improve the vibrato, he proposes an exercise on the 4th string, and also for a certain point the professor proposes to practice a martelé exercise every day, and makes certain suggestions about the bow speed and how to practice it in the following passages. He insists again towards the end on making more color differences and on how to practice to improve the use of the bow in the “con fuoco” part.
