Course
2017-18

MOZART, Wolfgang Amadeus

Le nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) K 492

“Hai già vinta la causa”

Leigh Melrose, guest professor

Gabriel Alonso Díaz, student

Madalit Lamazares, accompanying pianist

At the beginning of the class, Professor Melrose focuses his explanations on how to interpret the Count’s character and the expression of this character. The first three phrases represent three different thoughts with three different colors. It is very important to always take into account the text and its expressiveness.

The professor indicates which words have to be underlined and highlighted from the rest depending on their importance when representing the Count’s mood, which is rough and rude.
