Course
2024-25

TELEMANN, Georg Philipp

Concerto for Trumpet, 2 Violins and Basso Continuo in D major TWV 51: D7 (reduction for trumpet and piano)

I. Adagio

Mark David, guest professor

Alba García García, student

Marharyta Kozlovska, collaborative pianist

After the student’s performance of the Adagio from Telemann’s Concerto for Trumpet in D major, the professor congratulates her and makes observations primarily regarding intonation. They review it in detail because although the student plays very well on the piccolo trumpet, it is important to strive to make the pitches as precise as possible, such as the E, since that is precisely what is most scrutinized in an audition.
