TURINA, Joaquín
Trio for piano, violin and cello in B minor op. 76
II. Molto vivace
Márta Gulyás, professor
Amati Trio
Paula Mejía España, violin
Eva Arderíus Esteban, cello
Matteo Giuliani, piano
After a brief indication from Professor Gulyás that they should articulate more so that it can be heard well in the hall, the students perform the second movement of the Trio. The professor then comments on the tempo in general, the color, and the acoustics. Márta Gulyás also makes indications of phrasing and character for the piano, and the pizzicato in the cello. It is very important that they go together, and the bows should be long and without weight.
The professor continues with dynamic, phrasing, and articulation indications. The last bars have had excessive volume in the piano. The tempo is fine now, but they must take care of the rhythm and the very lyrical and captivating character.
