Maestro Pressler begins this class with a correction regarding the tempo: it should be largo, much slower (he sings a fragment to show the students the tempo). Afterward, Pressler corrects the pianist’s fingerings and articulation in a specific phrase.
Once the entire movement’s performance is complete, the professor focuses on the cello and how to improve the sound in an intervallic leap of the final melody. He also gives some guidelines on the most appropriate way to play pizzicato for a certain passage.
