With the dual aim of providing its students with experience in this field and enriching its musical offering to society, the Reina Sofía School of Music has created several orchestral ensembles which are made up of its students and conducted by School faculty as well as guest maestros. The Freixenet Orchestra made its debut in 2008 at Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu.
