I. Allegro
Rainer Zepperitz, professor
Marta Franco, student
Jesús Gómez Madrigal, accompanying pianist
Professor Rainer Zepperitz gives some indications for this first movement of the concerto in F-sharp minor. The beginning has to be a long note with a large bow. You have to continuously listen to the sound we produce, the triplets are faster. This concerto requires a lot of energy, often also playing on the same string. The pauses between phrases have to be short so as not to interrupt the inertia, it is only impulse to continue with the same force. Relaxation is important to approach the difficult passages. In the climax, you have to anticipate a crescendo molto just before and then pick up the tempo. Relaxation in the right hand is necessary to attack the bow with decision. Every moment of the interpretation is special, we have to make it special.
