HAYDN, Franz Joseph
Piano Sonata No. 45 in E flat major H XVI: 52
III. Finale. Presto
Ralf Gothóni, guest professor
Mateusz Marek Mikolajczak, student
At the end of the performance of the movement, they work on the opening theme to achieve clear articulation and proper direction. Gothóni also suggests making a greater distinction between the theme in the major key and then in the minor. They continue working on the phrasing and articulation of several passages, and later the professor suggests lingering slightly more on the moments where the key is reached so they are more pronounced.
Finally, they review the fingering in a certain fast passage to make it more comfortable and in line with the musical accents.
