COUPERIN, François
Concert Royal No. 1 in G major for violin, flute, oboe, viola da gamba and bassoon (version for oboe and basso continuo)
III. Sarabande. Mesuré
Ramón Ortega Quero, professor
Manuela Candela Muñoz, oboe
Candela Pérez González, bassoon
Alina Artemyeva, harpsichord
When the key change occurs, there should be more contrast, a greater sense of something different, and the sound should also change, playing with intensity and light.
The opening of the Sarabande should not be so introverted; Ortega suggests more space and openness, as in the previous movements. The professor provides a few more indications, taking into account the harmony of the score, mainly regarding articulation. In addition, the ending should sound more conclusive.
