Sándor Devich corrects some details of the interpretation of this second movement: the way to retain the sound in the ritardando, the phrasing and melody lines, the clarity in the execution of the octaves in the cello, the freedom of the bow in certain passages, the moments in which the vibrato is not so necessary, the innocent and luminous character of the beginning, the preparation of the dynamics to be more effective, the interpretation and character of the coda. All indications refer to the score and Haydn’s possible intentions.
