“Io son l’umile ancella”

Tom Krause, professor

Agnieszka Grywacz, student

Ángel Cabrera, accompanying pianist

In this class, Professor Krause discusses the main aspects related to vocal technique. When breathing, one must feel how the body expands and relaxes, like a cloud.
In some vowels, the emission of sound should be freer.

The professor and student work on the emission of some specific vowels, eliminating the consonants. The resonances should also be free and relaxed, so that we cannot manipulate their emission. It is very important to feel the support of the diaphragm all the time and allow the tone to come from above.
