Tom Krause, professor
Katarzyna Januszczyk, student
Madalit Lamazares, accompanying pianist
In addition to reviewing the pronunciation of certain words in the German text, the professor focuses his comments on issues related to the correct placement of the voice. Krause instructs the student to sing with her mouth outlining a smile, and indicates with his hand where the resonances are located.
Regarding the dramatization, he suggests singing as if the husband were there and with a feeling of deep love, sorrow, and gratitude.
Later, Tom Krause makes some brief indications on breathing, phrasing, and dynamics. He also suggests that the student sing a certain passage with abandon, and also try to sing as clearly as possible. Finally, the professor comments that the high notes should be full of resonance.
