After the performance, Vera Martínez-Mehner provides general feedback on the quartet’s final movements: they need to be more precise in harmony changes and when introducing new structures, initiating and concluding them with greater accuracy and better preparation. She also points out a moment where their synchronization was not complete.
They review the character and execution of the sforzando, phrasing, and accents of a specific section. The professor also gives instructions on tempo and articulation to achieve optimal expressiveness. Vera Martínez offers various suggestions to help them play with the required tension: it is challenging because they play very fast, with many events and changes that need to be studied more slowly before they can be performed at the correct speed and with good synchronization.
In the Trio, they review phrasing, dynamics, and articulations. It is important that they do not rush when returning to the beginning. Finally, in response to a question from the cellist about a particular moment, they try playing it together to decide on the interpretation, for which the professor also suggests certain bowings.
