EmpleARTE 2026: Employability Conference for Young Musicians

Madrid, December 17, 2025.- The Spanish National Youth Orchestra and the Reina Sofía School of Music present this joint edition of EmpleARTE with the aim of offering a broad and comprehensive vision of the current professional reality in the field of classical music. This alliance reinforces EmpleARTE as a space for inspiration, guidance, and professional support for new generations of musicians.

EmpleARTE was born with the vocation of establishing itself as a benchmark forum on employability in classical music. The 2026 edition, under the slogan “Connection and Community”, will be held at the National Music Auditorium of Madrid on Saturday, January 17, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. A commitment to the future of talent

With EmpleARTE, the two institutions organizing the event propose a commitment to providing musicians with the necessary skills to develop a sustainable, creative career adapted to the current challenges of the professional and work reality in the field of classical music.

The program includes presentations by artists, managers, and professionals in the sector; practical workshops on key topics such as orchestra audition preparation; labor law for artists; communication and outreach; and rights management. Personalized mentoring will also be offered to support the design of artistic projects, communication strategies, personal branding, access to representation agencies, and other professional facets.

During the conference, artists from various professional fields such as Juan Pérez Floristán, Andrea Motis, Iván Macías, and Necko Vidal will be present; experts in cultural policies such as Txema Urkijo; directors of cultural institutions such as Félix Palomero (Spanish National Orchestra and Choir), Miguel Ángel Marín (Juan March Foundation), Jesús Herrera (London Philharmonic), Miguel Galdón (Teatro de la Zarzuela), Beatriz Ortega (Spanish Music Federation), and SGAE. Communication specialists such as Susana Castro (director of Revista Melómano 2022-2025), Elena del Río (FEVER), and Isabel Santiandreu (Personal Branding consultant) and musicians with diverse entrepreneurial projects such as Edgar Martín (Camerata Musicalis), Mario Mora (Clásica FM), Luis Perandones (MUVAC), David Peralta (Creative Coaching), Gonzalo Lahoz (Tandem Artists), and María Valgreen. These and other guests of EmpleARTE 2026 represent the diverse professional ecosystem of classical music, which encompasses fields as diverse as performance, creation, management, education, communication, and outreach.

EmpleARTE has the support of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM – Ministry of Culture) and the collaboration of Fundación Banco Sabadell and If! Foundation.
