The Santander Encounter of Music and Academy brings together leading international music masters with the new talents of tomorrow. The Encounter’s artistic directors, Márta Gulyás and Luis Fernando Pérez, select each participant through open auditions among students from Europe’s most prestigious schools. In Santander, around sixty of these young musicians work in the mornings with the teachers in masterclasses and rehearsals. The results of the work in the classrooms are then brought to a concert series where teachers and students share the stage.
In this concert, the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Jaime Martín, will perform works by Bartók, Kodaly and Brahms in the Argenta Hall of the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria.
