Historically Informed Performance: Baroque Ensembles

The Société Générale Historically Informed Performance Programme, led by Professor Paul Goodwin, immerses the School’s musicians in the performance traditions of the Renaissance, the Baroque and the Classical periods, reviving the instruments, techniques and sensibilities of each era.

The result of this work is brought to life in this concert series, where the audience has a unique opportunity to hear the early music repertoire with the color, pulse, and emotion with which it was conceived. A sonic journey through three centuries of music, exactly as it originally sounded.
