Historically Informed Performance: Baroque Ensembles

The Société Générale Historically Informed Performance Programme, led by Professor Paul Goodwin, immerses the School’s musicians in the performance traditions of the Renaissance, the Baroque and the Classical periods, reviving the instruments, techniques and sensibilities of each era.

The result of this work takes shape in this concert series, offering audiences a unique opportunity to hear early repertoire with the colour, pulse and emotion with which it was conceived. A sonic journey through three centuries of music, as it originally sounded.
