Reina Sofía School Sinfonietta. Conductor: Nacho de Paz

Apr

This concert features the Sinfonietta of the Reina Sofía School of Music, whose objective is to perform repertoire focused on the 20th and 21st centuries, in an effort to promote contemporary music.

Organized by the National Centre for the Dissemination of Music, as part of the Series 20/21 cycle, in collaboration with the Reina Sofía National Art Centre Museum and the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Collection, the concert will be conducted by maestro Nacho de Paz.

The program offered is structured around fundamental works from recent decades’ repertoire, such as Anachronism by Austrian composer Georg Friedrich Haas (season’s composer-in-residence) or the fascinating Piano Concerto by György Ligeti, one of the 20th century’s milestones. It also opens up new perspectives with the expressive power of D’après by Clara Iannotta, and the world premiere of Si fuese un ángel by Consuelo Díez, commissioned by the Reina Sofía School’s own “Music for a School” program.

Free admission until capacity is reached. Ticket collection on the day of the concert at the auditorium entrance.
