These should be two recent recordings of works in contrasting styles, with at least one of the two works accompanied by piano. In addition, an optional third video may be included showing another activity: chamber music, solo performance, etc.

In the case of applicants for the Composition Professorship, this should be a recording that preferably includes a short presentation of the works included in the dossier. See more information. here.

The registration fee is unique, whether you choose one professorship or several. From the second registration onwards, you must use the code 02reina25 when making the payment to obtain your discount.

All candidates may apply as many times as they wish, provided they meet the requirements of the call for applications.

Yes, candidates from all countries are accepted.

To register for the auditions for the 2024-2025 academic year at the Reina Sofía School of Music, you must pay a registration fee of €120.

If you pass the pre-selection phase, attending the auditions requires an audition fee of 30 euros, which must be paid before the audition date.

It is not mandatory to submit any certificate, but if you have one, you can attach it to the form.

The official language of the School is Spanish, so all non-Spanish speaking students will be offered an intensive Spanish course in their first year of studies.

The School provides an accompanying pianist from each department for the auditions, but you may bring your own accompanying pianist, with prior notice.

The official language of the school is Spanish.

To study official degrees (Bachelor's and Master's), a sufficient command of the language will be necessary to be able to pass the contents required by the study plan.

In cases where the level of Spanish is not adequate and a place has been obtained, a year of Preliminary Studies may be offered to facilitate the student's adaptation to teaching in this language.

Instrumental subjects can be taught in Spanish or English (in exceptional circumstances, an interpreter may be available).

The School is part of the Erasmus network (effective since September 2022). To participate in an exchange program, students must audition through the standard process and commit to completing a full academic year at the School (from October to June).

The official study plans (Bachelor's and Master's degrees) require students to take the specific subjects in a timely manner.

The School's own study plans are adapted to the unique circumstances of each student, resulting in an individual study program.

Attendance at all scheduled classes is mandatory.

The official degrees are the Bachelor's Degree in Higher Artistic Music Education and the Master's Degree in Musical Performance.

The School's own degrees are the Preliminary Studies, Diploma in Musical Performance (or Composition), and Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Orchestra Conducting Studies.
