In Memory of Professor Dmitri Bashkirov

Today, we bid farewell with great sorrow to Professor Dmitri Bashkirov, an exceptional pianist and pedagogue, and an essential figure in the creation of the Reina Sofía School and its 30 years of existence. He was a tenured professor of the Banco Santander Foundation Piano Chair since its creation in 1991, and the first to be named Professor Emeritus. At the School, we would like to express our deep gratitude for his dedication to the education of young people and send our solidarity to his children, other family members, and friends.
