Pablo Heras-Casado Conducts the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra of the Reina Sofía School of Music

Madrid, October 21, 2020.- The Freixenet Symphony Orchestra of the Reina Sofía School of Music returns to the stage. Next Wednesday, October 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid, the young talents of the School, conducted by maestro Pablo Heras-Casado, will perform a program dedicated to Beethoven.

In a nod to the 250th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, the interpretation of the “Triple Concerto” will be offered, with the Mahou San Miguel Foundation Trio, formed by Kamran Omarli (violin), Hayk Sukiasyan (cello) and Izem Gürer (piano), as soloists, and the “Fifth Symphony”.

The concert, with exclusive admission by invitation, can be enjoyed live and free of charge through the School’s YouTube channel.

This concert will serve as the inauguration of the new academic year 2020-2021 and will reflect the hope and enthusiasm with which the young members of the School face these times of health crisis with the aim that the music does not stop playing, to celebrate ensemble music again and to express the importance of music and all culture in the task of rebuilding society.

In addition, Pablo Heras-Casado and the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra will perform the following day, Thursday the 29th, in the Cathedral of Burgos at 7:00 p.m. The concert, broadcast live by La 8 Burgos of CyLTV, will be a second performance of the Beethoven tribute program. Tickets for this performance are on sale at the Cathedral box office.
