Since 2014, Julia Sánchez Abeal has been the CEO of the Reina Sofía School of Music. Social, cultural, and educational impact has been the focus of her professional career. At the School, she has worked to generate a greater impact based on the values of excellence, inclusion, and innovation.
Prior to joining the School, Julia Sánchez was Director of Operations and part of the founding team of Empieza Por Educar, a program focused on combating educational inequalities.
She began her career at KPMG, where she worked for 4 years and was manager of the Strategy and Operations Group in the Madrid and London offices.
Julia is a member of the Advisory Board of the Juan Entrecanales Foundation, a trustee of the “Academy for Impact Through Music” Foundation, a member of the Advisory Board of the Teatro Real, a trustee of the Adcai Foundation, and a Fellow of the Aspen Institute.
She has participated in the IESE-MIT “Global CEO Program”, holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from ICADE, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and is a scholarship recipient of the Barrié Foundation.
She has been selected by Mujeres & Cía. as one of The Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain.
