Italian composer born in Zurich in 1987. His music is characterised by structural precision and expressive intensity, and often addresses social, philosophical or theatrical themes. He trained as a clarinettist before dedicating himself fully to composition, and his work encompasses orchestral, chamber, vocal, electroacoustic and theatrical pieces. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Composition from the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid, where he studied with Fabián Panisello and received the Diploma of Merit as the best composition student of the year, an award presented by Queen Sofía of Spain.
Previously, he studied composition with Alessandro Solbiati at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, where he graduated with highest honours and won both the Conservatory’s first prize and the European Composition Competition of the Galleria d’Arte Moderna. He also holds a clarinet diploma from the Arcangelo Corelli Conservatory in Messina.
His artistic collaborations include the MDI Ensemble, the Divertimento Ensemble and soloists such as Michele Marelli. In addition to his work as a composer, he has occasionally contributed as a librettist, scriptwriter or assistant director in small-format productions. He has been an artist in residence in L’Aquila and Biella, and in 2023 he was artistic director of the lecture-concert series Un Secolo di Noi.
In 2024 he recorded La Voce Invisibile, which is currently in the process of being published. He also appears as a composer and performer on the album Anemos (EMA Records).
From the academic year 2025-2026, he will be Professor of Counterpoint at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid.
