Dedicated chamber musician and music promoter, Antonia has been partner of several musicians on international stages, touring and performing in Europe and South America.
In 2005 she founded Ritratti Festival Ensemble, a group that brings together outstanding young musicians with well-known professionals on stage. This formula of musical mentoring has provided the conceptual basis for the grounding of her Festival in Monopoli, South of Italy: the resulting 22 seasons that she directed have ever since been critically recognised and acclaimed, while enabling her to expand her skills through very different repertoires, and have combined spectacular line-ups including artists such as Giovanni Sollima, Antonio Anselmi, Gianni Lenoci, Cristina Zavalloni, Marcelo Nisinman, Per Arne Glorvigen, Richard Galliano, Enrico Bronzi, Anna Serova, Eddie Daniels, Betty Garcès, Brad Mehldau, Benedetto Lupo, Beatrice Rana, Indaco quartet etc.
Within the Festival activities, she also directs every year the International “Valerio Gentile” grant, a vocal competition held in Fasano, where she had the opportunity to combine juries including artists as Barbara Frittoli, Eva Mei, Carmelo Remigio, Ildebrando d’Arcangelo, Renato Bruson a.o, management representatives and orchestra conductors.
Ritratti Festival develops, since 2020, also a welfare program, where music is performed in “unusual” theaters such as retirement homes, mobile “piano-vans”, in the fields and at the harbour.
She’s been collaborative pianist and performer in Fondazione “Paolo Grassi” – Martina Franca and its Festival Internazionale della Valle d’Itria, invited for 5 seasons in a row. With the Foundation activities, she was also assigned a few programming artistic direction, as for the European project “Small Nations, Big Souds”, Emerging Classical Talent in the EU in partnership with Sinfonia Cymru/Camerata Nordica/Kalmare Lans Musikstftels/Pille Lill Music Fund/Fondazione Paolo Grassi; Britten Day, Celletti Day, the concerts cycles “Novecento e oltre” and “Fuori Orario” in the 40 & 41. Festival internazionale della Valle d’Itria.
Antonia performed with chamber partners such Cecilia Bercovich, Maria Martinez, Leonardo Papa, Pedro Pablo Camara, Salvador Barbera, Lorenzo Rovati. She appeared with soprano Betty Garcès in several international tours within their Lied duo project that has been active on stage in the last ten years.
Since 2012, she also devoted herself to pedagogy, as a free lance piano accompanist for instrumental students and vocal coach for singers. 2013 to 2018, she was hired as collaborative pianist and coach at the Hochschule für Musik,Theater und Medien Hannover and was also associated professor for Chamber Music in several Italian State Conservatory of Music.
Within the academic activities, she assisted lessons given by A.Tamestit, D. Poppen, T. Zimmermann, H. Schlichtig, M. Suscz, L.Power, Jonathan Brown, V. Hagen, J. Zoon, A. Her discographic debut was in 2015 with “Mauro Giuliani, rarities and masterpieces” , Ensemble ’05 and soprano Damiana Mizzi – SMC Records. Her next Cd projects are two duo albums together with violinist Lorenzo Rovati and soprano Betty Garcés.
Her musical studies began at the Monopoli Conservatory “N.Rota”under the guidance of R.Bollea and B.Lupo. She completed also my Master studies at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, with Elsa Kolodin, and in 2008 was awarded a Master for soloists with orchestra at the “N.Rota” Conservatory, magna cum laude.
Since 2015, she has been a piano accompanist professor in the Fundación BBVA Viola Chair at the Reina Sofía School of Music.
