Since winning first prize at the ARD Music Competition in Munich in 2000, baritone Konrad Jarnot has performed in many concert halls and opera houses around the world (Lincoln Center in New York, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Concert Hall in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London, Cité de la Musique in Paris, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Philharmonic Hall in Berlin, Cologne and Essen, Gasteig in Munich, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, Tonhalle in Zurich and Düsseldorf, Festspielhaus in Salzburg, KKL in Lucerne, Kioi Hall in Tokyo, Royal Opera House and Covent Garden in London, Teatro Real in Madrid, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, Opera in Bilbao, etc.).

Konrad Jarnot has a passion for lieder. Numerous radio recordings, television productions and CDs, have been awarded the German Critics Award, the Echo Klassik Award and the Diapason d’or documenting the scope, the extensive repertoire and the diversity of his work and artistic creation. He has recorded almost 400 songs. Lately he has dedicated himself to the rediscovery and rehabilitation of persecuted composers such as Schönberg, Schreker, Korngold and Braunfels.Since 2009, Jarnot has been a professor of singing at the Robert Schumann University, Düsseldorf and a judge in international competitions such as the ARD and Music Competition Munich.He also gives master classes at the Savonlinna Music Academy, at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, at the Vocalis Academy in Wörgl, at the Summer Academy of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, in Tokyo, at the European Church Music Festival in Schwäbisch Gmünd, etc.At the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf, Jarnot is also the master’s studies coordinator, examination coordinator and program director.
