Born in 1975, he completed his musical studies between Barcelona and Madrid. He expanded his training in the Double Bass Chair of the Reina Sofía School of Music with Prof. Ludwig Streicher, being the most outstanding student in 1998. He studied orchestra conducting with Antoni Ros Marbà, Arturo Tamayo, George Hurst and Otto-Werner Mueller.
He conducts the main Spanish orchestras, as well as in Portugal, Italy, Germany, Greece, China and Mexico. He has conducted more than 117 world premieres and 27 national premieres with the Modus Novus Group and the Sax Ensemble.
As a lyrical and ballet conductor, he has an extensive repertoire of 71 titles and conducts at the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona, at the Teatro Real and the Zarzuela in Madrid, at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, at the Palau de Les Arts in Valencia, at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville and at the Theater Chemnitz. He has premiered worldwide and recorded, thanks to a Leonardo Grant from the BBVA Foundation, the chamber opera TENORIO by Tomás Marco and has recently premiered the opera Fuenteovejuna by Jorge Muñiz for the Oviedo Opera and has conducted its revival for the Tenerife Opera.
He is a professor at the Antoni Ros Marbà International Orchestra Conducting Course, professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona and musical director and trustee of the Sax Ensemble Foundation. He is currently the director of the 2022-2023 Music Season of the BBVA Foundation.
He is also an instrument Donor and, since 2023, professor of concertation of the Voice Chair “Alfredo Kraus” Fundación Ramón Areces of the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid.
