Sara Chordà holds a doctorate in Musicology and is a cellist and cultural manager with a professional career that integrates musical performance, educational commitment, and the coordination and management of sociocultural projects. She is currently the Head of the Social and Educational Area of the Orchestra and Choir Foundation of the Community of Madrid (ORCAM), where she designs and coordinates programs that combine music, social inclusion, and community participation.Trained as a performer at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya and the Leopold Mozart-Zentrum in Augsburg, she has been co-principal cellist of Oviedo Filarmonía (2014–2023) and has collaborated with leading orchestras such as the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. As a chamber musician, she is a member of the Cuarteto 4Sonora and the Trío Pangea.In addition to her artistic training, she holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Management (UOC), a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing (UCM), and experience in leading institutions such as the Princess of Asturias Foundation, the Pau Casals Foundation, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu. She is the author of the book Oviedo Filarmonía, 25 años de música (KRK, 2024) and a supervisor of final projects at the Reina Sofía School of Music and the Complutense University of Madrid.
