His career has been praised by great masters and leading figures in classical music, such as Martha Argerich, Günter Pichler, Joaquín Achúcarro, and Eldar Nebolsin. Upon his reappearance at the Teatro Colón, he was acclaimed by critics, who celebrated his expressiveness as a craftsman who reveals the true essence of what he performs. He recently made his North American debut on a concert tour that included, among others, the prestigious Salle Bourgie in Montreal.

Concert pianist Tomás Alegre began his musical career in Argentina and, thanks to the support of Martha Argerich, fulfilled his dream of further developing his skills in Europe with Nelson Goerner and Dmitri Bashkirov. From then on, his most significant performances began, leading him to receive the Distinction of Honor from Queen Sofía of Spain, the Gian Andrea Lodovici Prize recording at the Fazioli Concert Hall, and being conducted by András Schiff. Since 2020, his concerts have been broadcast on Eurochannel’s Allegro HD Channel for Latin America.

Mr. Alegre has been awarded prizes in various international competitions such as the Manhattan International Music Competition, Dinu Lipatti, Ferrol, and Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition. He performs regularly at the Teatro Colón, La Scala in Milan, St Bride’s Church in London, Teatro Real and Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, and the Liszt Academy in Budapest; and at prominent international festivals such as the Martha Argerich Festival and Semaine Internationale de Piano et Musique de Chambre in Switzerland; Serate Musicali in Milan; and the UNESCO-sponsored World Heritage Cities Cycles of Spain, Primavera of the BBVA Foundation, CaixaForum Palma Music Season, the AIEnRUTa-Clásicos Association, and the Burgos Philharmonic Society in Spain.

Since 2026, he has been a collaborative pianist professor for the Telefónica Violin Chair at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, with Professor Christoph Poppen.
