He was born in Kyiv (Ukraine). He began his piano studies with his aunt Lyudmila Gávrina and his mother, Tatiana Gladkova. Later, he continued his training with Professor Valery Sagaidachny at the Kyiv Special Secondary Music School. In 1997, he graduated from the Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, where he earned a Soloist Diploma with Honors.
Between 1995 and 1998, he furthered his training at the Fundación Banco Santander Piano Chair of the Reina Sofía School of Music under the direction of professors Dmitri Bashkirov and Galina Eguiazarova. In both 1997 and 1998, he was awarded the Diploma for the Most Outstanding Student of his Chair by Her Majesty Queen Sofía.
He has participated in masterclasses with Vitaly Margulis, Sergio Perticaroli, Leon Fleisher, Esther Yellin, Menahem Pressler, András Schiff, Claude Frank, and Pavel Gililov, among others.
Since 2014, he has been a Piano Professor at “Encore Music Projects International Summer School” (England). Since 2003, he has been an accompanying pianist professor at the Telefónica Violin Chair of the Reina Sofía School of Music, under Professor Zakhar Bron. Additionally, from 2000 to 2009, he held the same position at Professor Hansjörg Schellenberger’s Oboe Chair.
Throughout these years he has also worked in master classes taught by professors such as Gordon Hunt, Alex Klein, Stefan Schilli (oboe), Silvia Markovici, Igor Ozim, Ana Chumachenko (violin), Natalia Shakhovskaya (cello), Jaime Martín (flute), Klaus Thunemann (bassoon), Radovan Vlatković (horn), Rainer Zepperitz (double bass), Eduard Brunner and Paul Meyer (clarinet).
He has received numerous awards, including the Grand Prize, first prize, and two special prizes at the 9th Da Cidade do Porto International Piano Competition (Porto, 1992); first prize and Gold Medal at the 1st Lysenko International Competition (Kyiv, 1992); and first prize and the Award for Best Performance of the compulsory work at the Minsk Spring Belarusian Republic Piano Competition (Belarus, 1992). In 2002, he received the Award for Best Accompanist Pianist at the 10th Acisclo Fernández Carriedo International Singing Competition. As a member of the Exodus quartet, he won first prize at the 4th Guadamora Chamber Music Competition (Pozoblanco, 2003). He has also served as a jury member for international competitions such as the Ibiza Piano Competition and the Antón García Abril Piano Competition (Teruel).
Likewise, he has performed at the XII Ciudad de Úbeda International Music Festival, VIII International Music Festival, (Toledo, 2002), Zakhar Bron and his School cycle, Kronberg Cello Festival 2007, Guildford International Music Festival of 2009 and at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad 2010, among others. Since 2001 he has participated in the Encounter of Music and Academy of Santander.
He has offered concerts in countries such as Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Japan, Mongolia, the Czech Republic, Russia and Switzerland. During his stay in Spain he has performed in venues such as the National Music Auditorium, Juan March Foundation, Teatro Real in Madrid, Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando or in the Cantabria Festival Palace.
Since 2005 he has formed a duo with the Mongolian pianist Mendmaa Dorzhín, with whom he has won several prizes in the VII edition of the Grieg International Competition, in Oslo.
