Madrid, April 3, 2020.- The students of the Reina Sofía School of Music wanted to offer their particular tribute to the city of Madrid during the coronavirus crisis by doing what they do best: playing music.
To this end, they have recorded a collaborative video, each from their own home, performing a very symbolic piece, the fifth movement, Passacaglia, from the work “Night Music of the Streets of Madrid”, by Luigi Boccherini.
Composed in 1780 by Boccherini, based in Madrid in the service of the Infante Don Luis, it describes the lively streets of the Madrid night with an evocation of ambient sounds, in a journey where the strings imitate the sound of guitars with pizzicato, the strumming or guitar playing so characteristic.
