Elena Frutos, a pianist from Madrid, combines her concert performances and chamber music projects with her teaching work in the Piano Repertoire Department of the Royal Conservatory of Music Victoria Eugenia of Granada.
She has a Master’s Degree in Performance from the Reina Sofía School of Music with Professor Galina Eguiazarova, receiving the Diploma for the most outstanding student of her department in the 2016/17 academic year from Her Majesty Queen Sofía, and a Master’s Degree in Instrumental Pedagogy from the Alfonso X el Sabio University.
She has been awarded prizes in numerous piano and chamber music competitions, including the Vicente Scaramuzza Prize, the Turniej Kameralny in Bydgoszcz, the Ciutat de Carlet International Competition, the Ciudad de El Ejido International Competition, and the Ciudad de Linares Marisa Montiel Competition.
She made her debut as a soloist in 2011 with the “Padre Antonio Soler” orchestra of the CIM of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, with whom she toured Spain and Austria. She has also collaborated as a soloist with various orchestras such as OSCYL, Sinfónica Goya, and Filarmónica del CSMA.
She has performed recitals in major cycles and festivals such as AIE Clásicos en Ruta, the Santander Music and Academy Encounter, Fringe Festival, Piano Meeting Festival, Rafael Orozco Festival, and the Música en el Instante concert series.
