(Madrid, Spain) Elena Frutos is a concert pianist and teacher. She earned her Master’s in Performance at the Reina Sofía School of Music with Professor Galina Eguiazarova, receiving from Her Majesty Queen Sofía the Diploma as the most outstanding student in her studio in the 2016/17 academic year, and a Master’s in Instrumental Pedagogy at Alfonso X el Sabio University.
She made her solo debut in 2011 with the Padre Antonio Soler Orchestra of the Integrated Music Centre of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, touring Spain and Austria. She has also collaborated as a soloist with various Spanish orchestras. She has been awarded prizes in numerous piano and chamber music competitions, including the Vicente Scaramuzza Prize, the Turniej Kameralny in Bydgoszcz, the Ciutat de Carlet International Competition, the Ciudad de El Ejido International Competition, and the Ciudad de Linares Marisa Montiel Competition. She has given recitals in major concert series and festivals such as AIE Clásicos en Ruta, the Santander Encounter of Music and Academy, the Fringe Festival, the Piano Meeting Festival, the Rafael Orozco Festival, and the Música en el Instante concert series.
She currently combines her work as a performer with teaching in the Piano Repertoire Chair at the Victoria Eugenia Royal Conservatory of Music in Granada.
