The Freixenet Symphony Orchestra of the Reina Sofía School and 21 Districts Present “Summer Has Arrived!”

  • The Freixenet Symphony Orchestra of the Reina Sofía School of Music, conducted by maestro Jordi Francés, presents Summer has arrived!, a symphonic concert for families where fragments of Brahms’ “Double Concerto” and Schumann’s “Fourth Symphony” will be performed.
  • The free concert, organized in collaboration with the 21 Districts program of the Culture Area of the Madrid City Council and the Orange Foundation, will take place on Thursday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. at the Parque El Paraíso Cultural Center Auditorium (San Blas – Canillejas District).

Madrid, June 10, 2021.- The long, hot afternoons have already arrived in Madrid, but not all outdoor activities have to be aquatic. A good link between leisure and culture is what 21distritos and the Reina Sofía School propose at the Parque El Paraíso Cultural Center Auditorium (San Blas – Canillejas District).

In a modern auditorium with a futuristic aesthetic, and surrounded by nature, the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra of the Reina Sofía School of Music offers a free concert for families on June 17 at 8:00 p.m. conducted by Jordi Francés.

With narration by Fernando Palacios, pedagogue and musical educator, you can enjoy the Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra in A minor op 102 by Johannes Brahms, with Patricia Cordero (violin) and Alejandro Gómez Pareja (cello) as soloists, and Symphony No. 4 in D minor op 120 by Robert Schumann.

The free concert, organized in collaboration with the 21 Distritos program of the Culture Area of the Madrid City Council and Fundación Orange, will take place on Thursday, June 17, and to attend, prior reservation of tickets will be necessary at www.21distritos.es
