Beatriz Jiménez Mascuñán

Born in Cieza, Spain, in 1999. Since 2022, she studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Oboe Chair with professor Hansjörg Schellenberger. She has been granted a scholarship by Merlin Properties and Fundación Albéniz.

She began her music studies at the age of six. She continued her education at the Royal Music Conservatory in Madrid under the guidance of Cayetano Castaño and Juan Carlos Báguena Roig, and at the National Conservatory in Paris, thanks to an Erasmus scholarship, guided by Jacques Tys.

She has won the Prize of the 1st edition of “Becas Iberpiano” and a Prize of Honour of Professional Music Education of the Murcia Region.

She has been a member of Spain’s National Youth Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra and Choir of the Region of Madrid, the Youth Orchestra of the Murcia Region, and Alicante’s Youth Orchestra, with whom she has obtained three first prizes at the Summa Cum Laude Youth International Music Festival in Vienna, Austria.

She has performed at the Paris Philharmonie’s Pierre Boulez Grand Hall; Musikverein and Konzerhaus in Vienna; Sala Mozart in the Auditorio de Zaragoza; Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville; Palau de la Música and L'Auditori in Barcelona and Teatro Real and Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

As a student of the School, she has been a part of the Freixenet Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Juanjo Mena; the Fundación EDP Camerata, conducted by Christoph Poppen, and that of the Sinfonietta, conducted by Zsolt Nagy. She is currently a member of the Casa de la Moneda Scarlatti Quintet.
