Marlin Yuranny González Zúñiga

Soprano, born in Dagua, Colombia, in 1995. Since 2023, she studies at Reina Sofía School of Music’s “Alfredo Kraus” Fundación Ramón Areces Voice Chair with professor Juliane Banse. She has been granted scholarships by Fundación Santo Domingo and Fundación Albéniz.

She began her musical training with her father and at the Chicoral School of Music and continued her learning until studying “Lyrical Singing” at the University of Valle. Additionally, she has attended masterclasses by Bo Skovhus, among others.

She has won competitions, like the first lyrical singing competition held at the Santiago de Cali Local Theatre, as well as the Colombia Filarmónica voice award of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá, where she offered a concert.

She has been part of the cast in operas like “La Traviata” and “Lucía di Lammermoour”, performed at the Santiago de Cali Local Theatre in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Likewise, the Colón Theatre in Bogotá selected her to play the role of Eco in the Richard Strauss’ “Ariadne Auf Naxos” opera.

As a student of the School, she is part of the Fundación Orange Voces Tempo Ensemble.
