Pedro Nieves Millán

Tenor. Born in Los Teques, Venezuela, in 2000. Since 2023, he studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s “Alfredo Kraus” Fundación Ramón Areces Voice Chair with professor Juliane Banse. He has been granted scholarships by MAEC/AECID and Fundación Albéniz.

He began his musical training within the Fundación Musical Simón Bolívar’s National Network of Youth and Children Orchestras of Venezuela. He has also received vocal and professional coaching from Mª Samia Ibrahim and has been a member of the Metropolitan Chorus of Caracas and the Simón Bolívar National Chorus, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. Likewise, he has received masterclasses by Bo Skovhus, among others.

He has played roles such as, the High Priest in Mozart’s “Idomeneo”, Aronne in Rossini’s “Moses in Egypt”, Tebaldo in Bellini’s “I Capuleti ei Montecchi”, Nemorino in Donizetti’s “L’Elizir d’Amore”, Händel’s “Mesiah”, with the Venezuelan Schola Cantorum, and he has recently performed as soloist tenor in Mozart’s “Requiem”. He has worked with conductors like Mª Elisa Vegas, with who he performed at the Teresa Carreño Theatre in Venezuela, María Guinand and Mª Isabel Palacios, among others. In 2022 he was selected to be part of the Teresa Carreño Opera Company.

As a student of the School, he is part of the Fundación Orange Voces Tempo Ensemble.
